Experiencing a Catalyst Project + Student Mini Project

Educators experience a full Catalyst Project with a team or peer collaborators. Live sessions will focus on guided work time and teaching methodology demonstrations with educator Design Investigations. Educators and Mentors will collaborate on implementations of process components with students within the classroom to demonstrate understanding, experience teaching process concepts, and introduce students to some core concepts of Catalyst in preparation for a full project in Module 2.

Educators will also implement theory within the classroom through a four-part mini-project in which they will gain comfort and experience with teaching the creative process, collaborating with mentors, and practicing critique culture. Mentors presence in the classroom will drive collaboration with educators, bring their authentic experience to students, and practice critique culture. Through the princess students will participate in and practice elements of the creative process through research, ideation, and pitching a concept (through a narrative presentation) for an educator-project aligned mini-project.
